Winds of the World Homepage
The Concord rises to face a world of challenges, opportunities and danger in the year 221 of the Artebazani Imperial Calendar. With the final preparations made in the year 220,representatives of each realm signed The Concord is oaths, blood and quill. Now comes the time for the Realms to meet for the first time, the 221 Winter Summit will leave ripples that will flow through all time.
The Concord does find itself in a time of peace and prosperity however, the threats that drove the Realms to the brink still remain and war is on the minds of all those who call themselves citizens. The threats of the Illsevir, The Onyx Aristocracy and The Zekartaal are at the forefront, with the Twinblade Confederacy looming beyond the horizon.
Within the borders of The Concord it is a time of trade and travel. For the first time in decades, people of Southern Esterra can move freely from Weiland to Nazafeza. This has brought trade in new goods and immigration from places of conflict. While Realmic patriotism keeps many people in place, there are more new faces in more new places than ever before.
Passage, the new Concordian Capital in North Eastern Lerona Mere, is growing. What was once a small waystation for the rare travellers heading northward who wanted to visit the rare and powerful Waystones has become a bustling township. A tavern, cookhall and other amenities growing out of nothing to prepare for the arrival of The First Summit.
Make no mistake, The Concord is at the brink of destruction and collapse. But the way forward can be seen, for those that would take it.
The Woodland War
The Zekartaal retain control of the Greenweald North of Resinderholz, however their direct assaults have lessened over the previous seasons. The forest grows quiet without the drums of war as the cultists of the wild cast their gaze elsewhere.
The War against The Onyx Aristocracy
The continuing war against The Onyx Aristocracy is no longer solely a Bordevarian issue, but rather one that affects the whole Concord.
The War Against The Illsevir
No conflict that The Concord is embroiled in is so widespread as its war with the Illsevir. These southern raiders have brought steel from the south and the west in their pursuit of conquering all of Southern Esterra. Suiting its size, the conflict against the Illsevir varies from place to place.
The War Against the Twinblade Confederacy
Unlike other conflicts The Concord finds itself in, the war against the Bandits and Corsairs of the Twinblade Confederacy is more a war in being than an active conflict. Every vessel travelling into the great trade sea watches Eastwards for the red and black banner of the Twinblade.
While reports abound of military movements of vast armies under the command of Warlord Alabaster Morgan and the regular gathering of pirate flotillas under Captain Ophelia Diablos, nothing has come to fruition.
There have been no assaults on Mukarrem or regions held by the Illsevir, and regular piracy and banditry have not grown beyond their current levels.
Game Information
There will be few opportunities to engage the Twinblade Confederacy at The First Summit. The Twinblade piracy actions are part of the reason for requirements on trading with Artebazzan. The Twinblade are certainly present, but their actions are currently far more subtle than some other threats arrayed against The Concord.
Concordian Pathfinders Report - Winter 221
The first true deployment of the Concordian Pathfinders in a dedicated manner has been a frantic one, with scouts, mages and officials moving all over The Concord to ensure that the Waystones around Passage can be used effectively and safely.
While not all of the Confluxes expected during the First Summit, some opportunities are outlined below;
| Name | Location | Party | Size |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Slayers Hunt | West of Wolstad | Greenweald Baronies | 10-20 |
| Sand and Gold 1 | Beneath the Tanebar Sea | Closed | 5 |
| Andashi Ambush | North-West of Abqala | Andash and Allies | 10-30 |

| The Fate of the Fallen | Lenscrafter Hills, Weiland | Kingdom of Bordevar and Allies | 10-30 |
The World is a Busy Place
The Concord, a new nation such as it is, is limited in its official diplomacy.
While a lot of the following is hearsay and assumptions, the general diplomatic situation that The Concord is in before The First Summit is as follows;
The Concord is at War with The Onyx Aristocracy, The Illsevir, the Zekartaal and The Twinblade Confederacy. Members of these nations are not citizens of the Concord and are not bound or affected by its laws. Hostile actions, lest they be irredeemably cruel or outside the scope of warfare are permitted. Trade with these nations is not permitted.
The Concord is Neutral with Artebazzan, The Idrian Cabal and the Fealties of Drummond. Trade with these nations is barely present. But ships have passed each other without issue upon the sea. Trade with these nations is permitted.
The Concord is Uneasy with The Hukari and The Dendarr Nations. While not hostile, both of these folk have reached peace agreements with the Onyx Aristocracy. Trade with these nations is permitted, but it is worth noting that The Hukari practice slavery.

The Wisdom of the Spheres
While understanding the Precipice is an inexact science, the Shardcircle has been mapping its divine music and shine. They believe that the importance of the summit has drawn the intention of forces from beyond this sphere. While they cannot be sure, they are expecting at least one herald to appear during the summit.
Heroes of Magic and Might
A sporadic organisation, often broken up by periods of inaction and danger, the Shardcircle is finding itself more bound in time with its new attachment to The Concord. As such a tradition is being returned to the fold. The Shardcircle Arcane Challenge, a magical tournament held every two years. Traditionally made up of three events, the Challenge sees magi tested in their Magical Ability, Intelligence and Resourcefulness, to determine who among them is truly a great mage. The Shardcircle has made clear that these events will take place over the course of The First Summit and will be open to all members of The Shardcircle. Entry is one crystal mana, or an item the entrant believes is worth as much as a single crystal mana.
Burdens of Bureaucracy
The last year has been a slow one for many people, as the immeasurable processes of governance grind into life for the first time. Notably, this confusing year and The Concord acquiring new assets has led to a build up of strategic resources at the various Thunder Oak, Mithril and Arcstone sources throughout The Concord. It is likely that the deeds attached to these works will have above-average stockpiles at The First Summit.
A Quiet Harbour for Triremes
Ever since the revolution and signing of The Concord, it is the First Concordian Fleet that has dominated the port and piers of Lerona Mere. However there has been a single series of visitors, a quartet of triremes, speeding fast across the waves, carried by banks of rowers and sails, flying the Lightning Banner in blue and white of The Dendarr Nations. The wiley sailors, led by one Captain Xiphos, braved the Illsevir to bring trade to The Concord. Their supply of goods have swept through the city, being clawed up by greedy merchants.
Game Information
Any Lerona Mere character with a Business may elect to have part of their income converted into Dendarr goods by emailing the Concord Plot team at [email protected] before June 26 2021.
Prepared for the Worst
While the work of the Doktors of The Greenweald Baronies is been extensive, the people of the Baronies will not easily forget when their fellows wandered through the streets, doused in their own blood, pleading for help and begging for mercy as the Blasserstreit swept through the nation. It was an effort felt across the Greenweald to produce enough Rackoric and Green Sunleaf to treat those who were early enough in their infection to be saved. Gardens across the Greenweald still put aside a certain amount of space for these herbs, should they be needed again.
Game Information
Herb Gardens in Resinderholz do not produce Stonestem. However they produce one additional Green Sunleaf and Rackoric. If the people of the Greenweald can come to a consensus that is agreed upon by their Baron, this may change in the future.
A Distinct Lack of Pirates
The western coast of Esterra is quiet, on the whole, for the first time in many months. While the Twinblade Pirates still threaten ominously, they have not mounted major incursions or piratical actions against private merchants for some time. Allowing for a growth in peaceful trade from Andash. The people there pray for a continuation of the peace.
Game Information
Naval Investments from Andash will produce slightly more, provided they did not partake in the Battle of Roachford in Bolsterlee.
Of Sand and Stone
With a new year upon the world, the people of Andash consider the spheres and consider their twin culture. The Church of Sand and the Church of Stone shift, pushing priests to consider the tribal wanderers or the folk of the city. As this is the first summit of the year, a ceremony will be held to symbolise the changing of the churches. As it stands;
Lumos and Anarch transition to the Church of Sand, joining Cervitas.
Arcadian and Stallia transition to the Church of Stone, joining Panoply.
Stomach Under Siege
Forced from their lands, the people of The Iron Valley are pushed with their backs against the wall. During this time of refugees and strife, even the most basic goods can fetch an extremely high price.
Game Information
Iron Valley Farms, few as there are, will produce slightly more income than normal.
New Banners, New Warfighters
The First and Second Concordian Armies, made up of soldiers from every realm that could be spared are rallying to their barracks. Fresh from the invasion of Bolsterlee, these forces are preparing to receive the commands of their first generals at the First Summit. Their banners are unstained and the battle honours are stricken bare. These are new forces ready for a new legend. The First Concordian Fleet is the same,Iron Valley heavy longships salvaged from Anderslee, Lerona Mere free captains, Andashi corsairs, Greenweald oaken cogs and Bordevarian galleons cling to the dockside, ready for their orders to step off. The actions of these first commanders will define these armies for the future.
Game Information
At the First Summit, Generals and Admirals will be able to work with the Commandant to propose custom traits for each army or fleet. These may be unique orders, circumstantial effects or something similar. These effects will be permanent.
