As with its Tenets, when the Concordian Church of the Divine Spheres was founded in 221 AE it was done so with the framework of the original Artebazzani Church of the Divine Spheres, which technically included the Strictures of that Church. In late 223, the Concordian Church formally amended and adopted the Artebazzani Strictures, making their own changes as they felt called to do. While the Concord is yet to try a Hero with any of these religious crimes, should they choose to do so, they will be documented here.

The Strictures explain at the highest level that which is required in circumstances of Heresy and Apostasy, and the actions to be taken for the Heathens of the world. While the Council of Six may judge that something is a religious crime even if it is not within these Strictures, for matters within its guidelines a judgement and punishment are mandated where acts can be proven to be against the strictures.

Strictures of the Concordian Church

Those Who Disbelieve

Unenlightened Heretics and Apostates shall be taught the True Way, and be spiritually treated as children until their education is complete, at which point they will forever be considered Enlightened.

Those who are unwilling to be taught, or fall back into Heresy or Apostasy a second time shall be made Anathema or put to death, their property given to those charitable enough to have tried to teach them

Those below the age of 16 cannot be tried for Heresy or Apostasy, as they are too young to be considered Enlightened. They should, however, still be taught and guided to the True Way.

Those Who Mislead

To knowingly preach things contrary to the teachings and guidance of the Church is Heresy.

To unknowingly preach things contrary to the teachings and guidance of the Church may be commuted to a lesser punishment if repentance is seen.

To knowingly and consistently lie to an ordained preacher in the execution of their duties is proof that you do not deserve the Sphere’s light, and is grounds for being declared Anathema.

To knowingly help, associate with, or otherwise in any way positively interact with any individual subject to Anathema by the Church is a crime.

Those who Blaspheme

Coins themselves are holy symbols of Panoply, and to counterfeit is not just a crime against the state, but also a blasphemy against the Sphere.

Fleeing from battle (rather than an orderly retreat), and the dereliction of military duty are affronts to Arcadian, and therefore blasphemy against the Sphere.

The breaking of oaths blessed and signed by a Cervitas priest - in either the spirit of the oath, or its letter - is a blasphemy against the Sphere, in addition to any civil crimes which may arise from the act.

Aspirants of Lumos who are shown to have had the opportunity to responsibly assist someone in need, and actively chosen not to without reasonable justification, are guilty of blasphemy against the Sphere and are liable for the harm that comes to those they did not protect.

Any information agreed by a conclave of 5 Stallian priests together to be too dangerous for common distribution may be sequestered without any further due process. Anyone knowingly sharing this information - knowing it to be sealed - commits blasphemy against the Sphere.

The deconstruction of a physical or societal structure without taking appropriate measures to replace the structure is a blasphemy against the Sphere of Anarch.

The text below are the Strictures of the Artebazzani Church, off which the Concordian ones are based - some which appear reasonable to the average Concordian, others may not.
