Warmage
The Warmage is a Concord title bestowed upon a mage by peers of the Shardcircle through an election at each Summit when requested by the War Chamber (Who has the power to request either a Warmage or a Warpriest or both). They serve as a focal point for magical combat and Abilities and as an intermediator to the War Chamber, advising on the use of the Shardcircle's Resources. The Warmage are responsible for attending War Chamber and consulting with the generals on how to deploy the Shardcircle Mage in battle.
Election
The Warmage is elected by a common vote within the Shardcircle. Individuals nominate themselves provided they are Concordian Citizens and do not currently hold a title.
Term
The Warmage serves for one Summit and the Season that follows it. They may immediately stand for re-election and there is no term limit.
Powers
Attendance - The Warmage is allowed to attend the War Chamber, where they have a single vote. They are not permitted any aides.
Remark - Once per summit, the Warmage can raise an address to the agenda of a Shardcircle Session for free. This power is intended to be used to let the War Magi appraise the Shardcircle of developments in the War Chamber, but the Warmage is free to address the Shardcircle however they wish.
Responsibilities
The Warmage is expected to be the foremost expert on the battlefield and strategic uses of the Concord's Mages, Artifacts and Mana. They are expected to be available to render this knowledge to the various Councils of The Concord where appropriate. They are expected, in particular, to actively foster communications between the Shardcircle and the War Chamber.
Regalia
On acceptance of the title Warmage, they may receive a Circlet, and a Sash, together these are referred to as the Office of the Warmage.
These items are re-enchanted each year. If a Warmage loses their position, then the items must be given to the new War Magi. If part of the regalia is lost or stolen it may be replaced depending on the resources available to the Shardcircle; otherwise, it remains lost until the next Autumn Summit when a replacement is made. Theft of part of Warmage regalia is a very serious business. The Warmage is encouraged to take all appropriate precautions to keep these items safe.
