A Stallia Ceremony - Magnitude 4 - The Labyrinth
Performing the Ceremony
Performing this Ceremony takes at least 2 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets two characters who each know at least one spell that the other does not. These characters must be present throughout, but need not be one of the priests performing the Ceremony.
Effects
Two characters who know spells exchange one of their known spells for one that the other character knows, learning the new one and forgetting the old. This is a permanent change, and both characters must have a valid spell to trade in order for the Ceremony to work, otherwise no spells are traded and the Crystal Mana is consumed for no effect.
Description
This linking of minds is blessed and supported by the Labyrinth, one of the only ways this can be consistently and safely done. The knowledge and more importantly the learning process for each spell are transplanted from mind to mind. This does mean that those who participate can feel some strange aftereffects when thinking about the spell, as they will remember learning from people they may never have learned from, in places they may have never been.
These memories, as all do, will fade with time, but the effect of the knowledge is permanent, leaving the targets fully confident with their new abilities, and able to cast the spells as well as their counterpart once could, though at the cost of losing access to their own memories and abilities about their own given spell.
Performing the Ceremony
The two targets should be led to talk to one another about their time learning each of the spells, so that when the memories come across they are not too much of a surprise. The priests present can be on hand to minister if there should be any negative effects passed from one mind to another, but otherwise can just facilitate the discussion and beseech the Labyrinth for its guidance and protection.
