A Cervitas Ceremony - Magnitude 25 - The Masses
Performing this Ceremony takes at least 10 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets a group of Characters planning to attend a Non-Strategic Conflux.
This Ceremony is an Enchantment. A target may only be under one Enchantment effect at a time.
Effects
The target Characters are infused by power both Arcane and Divine, channeled through the mysterious workings of Portal Magic and its impact on the soul. By forming a connection under The Masses with one another, the Characters are able to draw unused power from the Portal so long as there is spare power available.
For the next Conflux attended this Summit by target Characters, provided it is not a Strategic Conflux and there are 25% less Souls (rounded up) than its maximum number in attendance, the following effects apply to each target Character; Gain +2 HP (to a maximum of 10HP), gain +1 Energy, gain +2 Mana, gain the Deathless skill. In addition, each target Character gains the following roleplay effect; There is a great bond between you all, something that ties your souls together for this short time. You will ensure that fewer hands will make great victories, and that each of you will make it home so long as you can help it.
Description
While The Concord does not truly understand the mysterious workings of Waystones and Portals, it is undeniable that it has ties to the soul. There are few more apt at harnessing this power than The Masses, under Cervitas, a manifested entity of bonds and action of unified direction. This Ceremony utilises these facts for the betterment of the few, giving them the power of many, and the power to bring their few home.
Performing the Ceremony
This Ceremony was developed by Headmaster Azime Rais of The Andashi School of Gifts, and as such has no history to draw from. Notably, the original request for “Many Hands, Many Victories” was deemed unable to be accomplished, due to difficulty in merging Souls of different Realms with the strange nature of Portals at will.
When performing the Ceremony, Priests found it best to have each target step forward simultaneously, and form a bond either by word of action, physical ties, and similar acts that reinforce their bond together.
