The Sphere of Elemental Chaos, Anarch ceremonies upset the status quo, create powerful effects and empower their recipients.
| Name | Type | Effect | Magnitude | Altar Capable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Freedom of the Soul | Enchantment | Creates an aura on a character that greatly heightens the emotions of that character. Their emotions will be more intense, but not unreasonably so. In addition, this effect replaces any emotive roleplaying effects from Spiritual Wounds - they may be ignored as long as this effect is replacing them. This effect lasts until the end of the event. | 2 | Yes |
| Prove the Foundation | Curse | The character affected by this Curse is driven by a supernaturally strong desire to prove themselves. They must select a skill, field or talent that they believe they excel at and must challenge someone who they believe is superior to them at that skill to a test of that skill. Regardless of victory or defeat, the effect fades and the Curse ends after the test. While affected by the curse, the cursed individual experiences a roleplaying effect. | 3 | No |
| Anarchic Missive | - | The message that you have written is magically sent to the Anarch Herald of your choice, so long as you have properly addressed it. There is no guarantee that you will receive a response, but you will receive guidance on your missive through positive or negative effects at the following Summit. | 4 | Yes |
| Explosive Force | Enchantment | The target character may take the Damage effect as the Knockback effect. Each time you are affected by knockback, they gain 1 energy, which may temporarily take you above your energy limit. You may never have more than 1 temporary energy over your maximum from any source. The target experiences a roleplaying effect. The effect lasts until the end of the event. | 4 | Yes |
| Leave the Past Behind | - | Target character changes their Investment to a new form of investment at Tier 1, and may move it to a different region if they wish. That character can never possess that kind of investment again - if they should ever come into ownership of one through any means, it runs itself to financial ruin within a few months. The owner of the Investment experiences a roleplaying effect until the end of the event. | 4 | Yes |
| Witness the Glorious Day | Enchantment | Target character may ignore the roleplay effects of traumatic and spiritual wounds. Those roleplay effects are replaced with a burning sense of righteous change and possibility. The intensity (and chaotic volume) of this effect increases with each wound experienced while under this effect (not necessarily concurrently). This Ceremony only suppresses the roleplaying effects of these wounds - any mechanical effects must still be followed, and any wounds that aren’t fixed by the end of the event need to be placed into the target’s character bag at the end to indicate they are ongoing. The effect lasts until the end of the event. | 4 | Yes |
| Anarch's Wooden Steed | - | Creates a blessing that must be given to a character before the end of the day, that character may travel through Waystone portals as if they were a Concordian citizen for the remainder of the event. | 6 | Yes |
| The Phoenix’s Burning Flame | Enchantment | The target character may spend 1 energy to call ‘Magic Fire’ with a melee weapon. This does not require the character to complete a normal spellcast, it simply uses the magical effect. | 6 | Yes |
| Burn the Ashes | Enchantment | Target Terminal character regains all their hitpoints, mana and energy, regains the ability to attend confluxes and function as normal until being reduced to 0 hit points or the end of the day, after which point they die instantly, painfully consumed by fire. As the day progresses the character feels a fire inside them burning hotter and hotter. | 8 | Yes |
| Stormveil | Enchantment | A single region becomes obscured to scrying Ceremonies and effects - this blocks any Ceremonies or effects from getting information from the region up to twice the magnitude of Stormveil. The Ceremony may be cast for any amount of additional magnitude in order to increase the power of the veil. The region is wracked with unnaturally powerful and unseasonable storms and weather patterns until the Enchantment ends - if the Ceremony is increased in power, these storms increase in strength and frequency as well. This Ceremony lasts a year. | 8 | No |
| Churning Cauldron of the Maelstrom | - | After up to five measures of herbs have been placed in a vessel, the amount of herbs is doubled. The newly created herbs will be of the same type. | 8 | Yes |
| Unfettered Anarchy | Curse | This Curses a character with unstable emotions. The Cursed character regularly flits between extremely powerful emotions of a wide variety. The character cannot feel effects of calm, clarity or tranquillity. They feel an urge to oppose anything they see as restraining their behaviour, whether it is a law, an expectation of society, or a sign that says 'quiet please' on it. These sensations surge and recede; the Curse is most likely to impact the roleplaying of the character at dramatically appropriate moments. The Curse lasts for a year. | 10 | Yes |
| Unending Cascade of Blood's Fire | Enchantment | The target gains the ability to cast the Venom spell four times per day as if they knew it, without spending any mana. They also experience the strong desire to cast venom against anything that startles or threatens them. The target may spend one mana to call Immune to Venom. If you recover all personal Mana from an effect it also recovers the uses of this ability. This effect lasts until the end of the event. | 12 | Yes |
| Rampant Hammer Rhythm | Enchantment | The target artisan can craft a single item overnight. They must know how to make the item and have all the required materials. The item is only finished in the early hours of the next morning, and thus is only available to be collected at that point. The following day, the target experiences a roleplaying effect until the end of that day. | 14 | Yes |
| Shatter the Shackles | - | One Curse (chosen before the Ceremony to determine the Ceremony’s magnitude) affecting the target character is broken and permanently removed, having no more mechanical or roleplaying effects. This does not count as the Curse fading naturally, should there be any relevance to that. If the target character is affected by more than one Curse, and wishes to remove that as well, the magnitude of the second Curse can also be added to the magnitude in order to remove it as well. The same is true for any additional Curses. | 15 + The magnitude of the original curse. | No |
| Still Waters Running Deep | Enchantment | The target character receives 3 energy and is immune to the Fear effect. This effect may be applied to additional characters from the same Band for an additional 5 magnitude each. Additional targets must be present for the whole Ceremony as well. The targets experience a roleplaying effect. The effect lasts until the end of the event. | 16 | Yes |
| Transmogrification of the Soul's Echo | - | Permanently and significantly changes the personality and mannerisms of a target willing character. This is purely an emotional change, but may lead to changes in their goals, nature, beliefs or behaviours. In addition, this may remove an equal or lower magnitude Curse affecting the target, if the target wishes it to do so. | 25 | Yes |
| Empower Storms of Nature | Curse | The target region is wracked by dangerous and unseasonal storms. Farms and Wildernesses produce at half value as the weather makes such work untenable. Leylines in adjacent territories produce at half value as the storm feeds off of them. This effect lasts until the next event. | 30 | No |
| Otherworldly Challenge | - | During the Ceremony, the target character requests a challenge from the Eternal known as The Peak. This binds the target in this challenge. If the challenge is overcome, a reward commensurate with the difficulty and nature of the challenge will be awarded. Failure or cheating will result in a powerful Curse for the target’s hubris. | 30 | No |
| Foam and Spittle of the Furious Sea | Curse | Target territory gains the trait 'Foam and Spittle of the Fuirious Sea' which means: Fleets in the targeted territory experience 250 casualties during the next season. Any Naval Investments supporting affected fleets, or otherwise acting in the territory will become damaged. Any characters in the fleets affected by this Ceremony are highly likely to see the Star Sailor as they weather the storm. | 40 | No |
| Soldiers of Storm and Stone | Enchantment | The target army is assisted in battle by supernatural warriors of storm and stone, increasing its effective strength by 3,000 during the next season. All Leylines in the region this army ends its movement in produce at half value as the mana is sucked from the land to sustain these soldiers. | 100 | No |
