An Expert Artisan Item
Description
The Bloodslick Banner is an item of great power through sacrifice, turning the blood of trusted comrades into a powerful boon burdened by but one. By bloodying the cloth of the Banner and staining its very wood, speaking a great and binding oath, and trusting in the power granted by sacrifice, a single person can be granted with endurance and strength that would shock even the most experienced warrior to their core. Yet this great boon does not come without a cost as simple as blood loss, as the Bloodslick Banners enchantment siphons the very essence of life from those that would cast their blood upon it, unable to have it returned until a day has passed.
There are many who would see this Banner as a curse, yet a Band that is willing would find themselves imbued with a bonding strength that cannot be felled. Artisans willing to craft this Banner would do so simply, often creating an item of pure white cloth adorned with the Band’s sigil, before focusing on the efforts of enchanting it to provide the needed effect. Oaths sworn on the Bloodslick Banner should never be taken lightly, and its presence on the field of battle has been known to cause Bands to fight with a ferocity not commonly seen.
