Description
The simplicity and versatility of a knife has never been in question, no matter the profession. The baker gets as much use as the soldier, and the apprentice is no different. The Apprentices Penknife, crafted most commonly in the form of short daggers inscribed with personalized symbols, adds a small amount to its users’ pool of mana. The symbols inscribed on the Penknife are usually commissioned by the apprentice themselves, with placement and design heavily curated by the Artisan who must carefully craft the item.
While the symbols themselves are often commissioned by the apprentice, the actual item is usually gifted by a more experienced Magus who has decided to take the apprentice on for direct training. While not all Penknives are given this way, it has created a gifting culture between apprentice Magus and their more experienced guides, especially within the Andashi School of Gifts.
