A Journeyman Artisan Craft
Description
An item born of urgency, necessity and a burning desire for a renewed life, it is said the humble Acolyte’s Assistant can have its origins traced back to a Lerona Mere on the cusp of revolution. A simple dagger that didn't need a second glance, a cleaver inconspicuously placed front and centre in a butcher shop, or a stiletto stowed quickly in folds of a priestly robe, this craft provided citizens the chance to save a neighbour or a friend in times of need, and put a swift end to others that were neither.
Once forged with blood, sweat and fire, the Acolyte’s Assistant today is a true test of skill for weaponsmiths from Legend City and across the Concord. Apprentice smiths can now pass their apprenticeship with top marks if their mentor cannot tell which knife is emboldened with this power, and which is not. Many will be granted a simple handle, a cloth wrapping on the hilt, or a leather sheath, no more and no less.
