A Lumos Ceremony - Magnitude 8 - The Ashen Moon
Performing the Ceremony
Performing this Ceremony takes at least 2 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets a character who must be present throughout, but need not be one of the priests performing the Ceremony. This Ceremony must be done at night in darkness, illuminated only by a single candle or lantern - too much ambient light will cause the Ceremony to fail.
Effects
The target individual becomes immediately and incurably blind for the remainder of the night until the sun rises the next morning. During this time, any Pothraxi Thralls within 3 Leagues of them are illuminated with a small, pale blue light upon their chests.
Until the sun next rises, the target experiences a roleplaying effect: You are comforted and blessed with peace by the hand of The Ashen Moon, and you find it difficult to become agitated or energetic about anything. Likewise, it takes a great deal to unsettle or scare you, even though your sight has been taken from you.
