An Arcadian Ceremony - Magnitude 4 - The Warheart
Performing the Ceremony
Performing this Ceremony takes at least 2 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets a character who must be present throughout but need not be one of the priests performing the Ceremony.
This Ceremony is an Enchantment. A target may only be under one Enchantment effect at a time.
Effects
The target character gains one rank of the Juggernaut skill.
As long as they are enchanted the target experiences a roleplaying effect: The character is filled with boundless enthusiasm for things that catch their eye, throwing themselves earnestly and enthusiastically into anything that their fancy lands upon. This can be constructive, destructive, or simply a whimsy, depending on the person specifically.
The roleplaying and mechanical effect lasts until the end of the event.
Additional Targets
This Ceremony can affect up to two additional characters from the same Band for an additional 3 magnitude. Additional targets must be present for the whole Ceremony as well.
Description
The taunting of a bull is a crowd-pleasing display of skill and finesse, though many consider it barbaric. To stand before a bull and poke it with spears, ducking ever so nimbly out of the way of the sweeping and gouging horns - there is no argument that this is an extremely dangerous profession, and has been the death of many.
So it is to stand before those blessed through Arcadian with the Strength of the Bull, who shrug off piercing injuries as if they were only skin deep and throw themselves into danger with abandon. To stand in their way is to be swept from your feet and trampled beneath their ever-enthusiastic tread.
Performing the Ceremony
A Ceremony drawn deeply from The Warheart, many Arcadian priests will do something similar in theme if not a literal reenactment of bullfights to draw down this power. Some taunt their targets with reminders of their failures, where they have fallen, where they have failed to overcome a height. Others still will needle and prod the target with barbs or other witty word, to test their mettle and push them towards anger. Some, indeed, literally dance around the target of the Ceremony, jabbing at them with pointed sticks or blunted weapons to rile them up.
