An Arcadian Ceremony - Magnitude 20 - The Warheart
THIS CEREMONY IS CURRENTLY NOT ABLE TO BE PERFORMED
Performing the Ceremony
Performing this Ceremony takes at least 10 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets a character who must be present throughout, but need not be one of the priests performing the Ceremony.
This Ceremony is an Enchantment. A target may only be under one Enchantment effect at a time.
Effects
The character gains the Weaponmaster, Armoured, Bulwark, Hand-and-a-half, Archer and Bladehand skills.
As long as they are enchanted the target experiences a roleplaying effect: You are driven to react to any event that would elicit fear, doubt, or wariness in you or others by declaring a loud challenge and moving to attack it.
All Heralds of Arcadian are aware this Ceremony has been cast, and will take note of the character should they happen to cross paths.
The roleplaying and mechanical effect lasts until the end of the event.
Description
The power and knowledge of The Warheart and its servant Heralds flow down into the target, drawn out from the souls of the greatest fighters to ever live - those who have passed through the Sphere of Arcadian on the Journey and passed back into the world. Eyes alight with the vigour of battle, this can turn the meekest peasant with no training into a bold, skilled fighter. As the knowledge flows through them, the target feels driven like those from whence the knowledge came to react boldly and face threats head-on. Those targeted with this ceremony practically lose their 'flight' response, responding to every potential issue boldly and with force.
The power and knowledge flow not just from the collected knowledge of The Warheart, but also from every Herald of Arcadian, and so they recognize those who have been blessed with their accumulated knowledge if they should cross their path.
Performing the Ceremony
Drawn from the Warheart, this Ceremony commonly looks like a multi-skilled drill session, with either the lead priest or a collection of instructors going through every one of the weapons with target one by one, their skill exploding in leaps and bounds as the knowledge and muscle memory from Arcadian infuses them. Commonly, this will end in the blessed one being asked to fight one or more of their instructors to show that their mastery has risen to new heights - though temporary they may be.
