The Highest and the Lowest

From Esterrapedia

Passage at Summit time draws all sorts of people. While it is a little less of a shepherds den when the heroes are not present and has become a small township all its own, it still becomes a vastly different place twice a year when the great and good of The Concord join with the cruel and powerful to decide how the Concord will function. Outside of the leagues of porters, polishers, publicists, and publicans, there are a few individuals of note attending this summit.

The delegation from Free Odrigan will be attending to business and diplomatic efforts in Lerona Mere, arriving at the Summit late in the afternoon on the second day. Lead by Paykan Sarouz, the leader of the rebel state hidden along Tabbadar’s jungle coastline, they undoubtedly come to Summit to request greater Concordian aid in their struggle against their Artebazzani oppressors. Unfortunately The Concord lacks any official stance on the matter so it remains to be seen what action, if any, the Senate will take. They will likely wish to seek out any Senators, the Foreign Minister, and any ‘Concordian Corsairs’ who they have to thank for their freedom.

Lyam De Rosa, that firebrand heretic of the Church of Anarchia approaches Summit alone. He will be known by his pale garb adorned with the burning eye of his blasphemous faith. Understandably the man is moving evasively to avoid being arrested and tried on the way to the Summit so his attendance is difficult to predict, although it is likely on the second day of Summit. Lyam currently has not been subject to inquisition or trial and will need both to occur before there is any resolution to this matter. Any priest can put forward a motion requesting his inquisition but it will need to pass on the first day of Summit if the heretic of Lerona Mere is to be trialed successfully.

Councillor Igerne of Lakeshore draws near to summit, supported by her guardian knight; Ser Haytham the Claw of the Order of Candlelight. The first time a member of the Wise Council has directly meddled in the Summit since 221. Her business has caused a firm fuss across the Kingless Kingdom and it is likely we shall see a great amount change based on how the Nobles of the Realm answer her questions at the Noble Council. Igerne’s itinerary (filed in advance) expects her present at the Summit near five o’clock on the second evening, with her Council of Nobles likely starting some time between six and seven o’clock.

Finally, another Bordevarian approaches the summit. The enigmatic Tobias Crane, Guildmaster of the Cloakmakers guild intends to be present for the first nights senate session ‘present a gift to The Concord’. The leader of The Concord’s largest tailoring combine also has messages to present to those senators who have made homes for the Guild; Bolsterlee, Tribelands, and Weiland.
