Eisen Orchard
South of Eisen, along the shore of the river of the same name, lies a protected Orchard. Known as the Eisen Orchard, this place is of immense import to The Concord as it is the only grove of Thunder Oak trees currently worked by The Concord, producing an essential strategic resource needed for the creation of ships, quarries and embassies. Resinderholz Thunder Oak is known for its deep brown colour, nearly black, and is sometimes called ‘Nightswood’.
The Eisen Orchard in particular is a relic of the reign of Baronness Drewina Arnmeyer, who ruled Resinderholz many years before the Concord. An alchemist of some repute, it is said that Drewina carefully harvested and treated trees in such a manner to produce a stable and protected orchard that would resist the magical maladies of the Greenweald. Such a safe place is the Orchard that it has often been used to shelter the non-combatants of nearby Eisen in times of danger.
In the year 222, cultists of the Church of Grain and Grail, revealing themselves to be agents of the Zekartaal attacked the Orchard after infiltrating wildernesses and farms in Resinderholz. They used sacrificial magic to warp one of the Thunder Oak trees into a powerful creature known as a Lumberhaunt, which brought havoc to the region before being slain.
In the year 224, a Fae creature known as 'Gren' took up residence within the Orchard at the consent of the Deed Holder. The creature appears as a cat-like being with human hands in place of its paws. It has been beneficial to the Orchard, harvesting a small collection of herbs for the Deed Holder.
Deed to the Eisen Orchard
The Eisen Orchard is a realmic deed belonging to the Greenweald Baronies, available for election at each Spring Summit. The Orchard tends to produce 15 wains of Thunder Oak each season.
The presence of Gren and other actions have allowed the Eisen Orchard to produce herbs as well as Thunder Oak. The Eisen Orchard produces herbs as if it was a Tier 3 Herb Garden.
