Part of Winds of the World - Summer 221
Amidst the rocky crags and goat tracks of The Stand, more than ten thousand Concordians stood shoulder to shoulder against the undead. In the wind and rain of spring and in the burning summer sun they brought to bear the steel and righteous fervour of the living.
Ser Amelia the Warden of House Avalon was at the head of a host of thousands of Bordevarian knights, warmages and commonfolk warriors, as the First Banner of Bordevar. It slammed into the undead hordes of Danakka Rimortis, the Wraith of Port Gargant. The First Banner knows how to fight undead better than any other, clad in heavy armour and bearing torches blessed by the Sphere of Hope they carved a blessed path.
“It doesn’t take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who go into battle. Today, we are all heroes.” Ser Amelia the Warden of House Avalon, Banneret of the First Banner of Bordevar.

As the First Banner charged forward, the 2nd Concordian Army, headed by another Bordevarian, held firm. The weight of the undead horde pressed on them from all around. All they had to do was hold the line while the First Banner wreaked havoc. At the centre of the line, clad in fine steel and the hope of Lumos, General Leofrick the Devoted of House Avalon held firm alongside warriors from across southern Esterra.
After Rimortis’ defeat at the hands of the Concordian heroes, the warriors of the Concord knew that his forces would be greatly diminished in power. The magic of the necromancer was missing from the field and now was the chance to punish their hubris. In a single day of great battle, the forces of the Concord flying the banner of House Avalon high slay more than three thousand foes, and suffer not a single casualty.
“Today we stand in defiance to the Onyx Aristocracy. As we make our defence of Weiland one to be written in legend!” Ser Leofrick the Devoted of House Avalon, General of the 2nd Concordian Army
Danakka Rimorti’s attack is thrown back into Royal Bordevar, and the Concord cries victory in Weiland. Across the nation, common folk have begun to call the battle ‘The Miracle at the Stand’ or simply ‘The Miracle’.
