A Lumos Ceremony - Magnitude 60 - The Ashen Moon

Performing this Ceremony takes at least 10 minutes of roleplaying. This Ceremony targets an Army.

This Ceremony is an Enchantment. A target may only be under one Enchantment effect at a time.

Effects

The target army is blessed with fulfilling rest and speedy healing. Even those thought to be bedridden for months find themselves on their feet, right as rain, with but a few days rest. Each night a deep sleep takes hold of the Army, and the next morning at sunrise they wake feeling refreshed and energetic. Surgeons and healers find their patients easier to work on, and this deep sleep seems to speed their recovery in ways otherwise impossible.

During the next season, the target Army regains 3000 strength if it takes the Billet action, however in the Season after it Billets its Maximum Movement Value is set to 5. In addition the General of the target Army gains the following roleplaying effect: The character feels like every step is slightly heavier, and every individual movement is slightly slower, but they know deep in their soul that they will rest well each and every night.

Description

While no obvious physical manifestation appears around the Army enchanted by this Ceremony, its influence is felt more deeply during the night than any other time. From midnight till sunrise, members of the targeted Army will find themselves drawn to sleep, and if they decide to do so, they are greeted by pleasant and restful dreams. The dreams themselves will vary from person to person, but a single detail can be recalled upon waking, and that is the presence of a lit candle that refuses to be dimmed.

Performing the Ceremony

This Ceremony, drawn from The Ashen Moon, was developed by Headmaster Maximilien Villeneuve of The De Re School of Embers, and as such has no history to draw from. Notably, despite Maximilien’s eventual declaration and subsequent execution as a Heretic, there has been no negative consequence to the Ceremony itself.

When performing the Ceremony, Priests found it best to include words that encourage rest and relaxation, as well as performing actions and utilising items that encourage similar intent.
